What is 'Peace' in Islam? (verses)

After reading the Quran extensively, I noted the prevalent and critical concept of 'peace' refers to 'A Peace of Mind' from the Eschatological basis.

freedom of the mind from annoyance, distraction, anxiety, an obsession, etc.; tranquillity; serenity.

'Peace' is Islam does not refer primarily to peace as in general harmony between people, i.e.

-the normal, nonwarring condition of a nation, group of nations, or the world.
-a state of mutual harmony between people or groups, especially in personal relations:

Why not both? Intrapersonal and interpersonal peace are both very important and healthy.

Yes I agree that both are necessary as implied in the OP.

However, I stated therein,
'Peace' is Islam does not refer primarily to peace as in general harmony between people.

While both type of peace are essential, i.e. internal and external, the primary concern with Islam as reflected in the Quran is the internal Peace of Mind.

This is why SOME Muslims are willing* to sacrifice external social harmony for their own internal peace of Mind.
* This is due to an internal compulsion and guided by the heavy % evil laden verses of various degrees in the Quran.
