Now that we know for certain that ISIS has claimed responsibility for the Paris attacks. We as Muslims must unite and present a strong front against those who claim to be Muslim and commit Terrorism

We must also express our thoughts and concerns for the innocent people of Paris who are suffering because of this Atrocity.

May Muslims and non-Muslims unite to turn our attention towards helping the people of France, especially the residents of Paris.

What can we as individuals do to Help?

A few tips can be found here

#MuslimsStandWithParis: 4 things Muslims must do right away | SoundVision.com

We as Muslims must be vocal in our condemnation of acts of terrorism.

Quote:

Muslims around the world, from religious leaders and politicians to ordinary people, meanwhile, are condemning the attacks.

In an official statement, Iranian president Hassan Rouhani called the attacks a “crime against humanity.”

In the name of the Iranian people, who have themselves been victims of terrorism, I strongly condemn these crimes against humanity and offer my condolences to the grieving French people and government.

Indonesian president Joko Widodo condemned the “violence that took place in Paris,” and called for more international cooperation to fight terrorism.

Leaders of Arab states called the attacks immoral and inhumane. Qatar’s foreign minister Khaled al-Attiyah denounced the “heinous attacks,” adding, “these acts, which target stability and security in France are against all human and moral values.” Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Sabah called the attacks “criminal acts of terrorism which run counter to all teachings of holy faith and humanitarian values.” The Saudi foreign ministry called for global cooperation to “root out this dangerous and destructive plague.”

We also must show our sympathy and support of France.

That's good (the title, not whatever is directly above me). That is very good.

Some may mean it, some may not, but I don't care. The ones that mean it prove that the religion is not a hate group.

As a Muslim I fully condemn this attack in Paris. I have difficulty to consider the perpetrators to even being human. and can not comprehend them dare calling them selves Muslims.

Actions by all terrorists must be stopped and they must be labelled as criminals and never again be given the dignity of being called anything except criminals and murderers.

Woodrow LI - Not trying to be overly confrontational... what do you do to keep the criminals from defining your faith. Because right now, it's difficult for Islam to be seen as peaceable and safe. Islam (or this group of people representing Islam) is a threat to all countries right now. The Muslim Brotherhood protects them. CAIR protects them.

Honestly - if these people took over America, and Islam ruled this country, would you not be OK with that?

There are many misconceptions about Islam by both Muslims and non-Muslims.

As Islam is not an organization and has no central leaders it can not take over a nation. While it is true people claiming to be Muslim can take over nations and have done so, they are not Islam and do not represent Islam.

Islam is not a group, it is an action performed by individual Muslims.

A Nation can only be Islamic if 100% of the population performs the action of Islam through their own free will.

CAIR is also misunderstood. It is a very small organizations that was originally founded to help American Muslims.

Currently it is about 1/10 it's original size, has virtually no financial support and is deeply in debt.

It is virtually impossible to find out anything about their status after 2007 and it seems nearly every CAIR office has closed.

Quote:
ONLINE EXCLUSIVE / DEVELOPING:
Membership in the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has declined more than 90 percent since the 2001 terrorist attacks, Audrey Hudson will report in Tuesday’s editions of The Washington Times.
According to tax documents obtained by The Times, the number of reported members spiraled down from more than 29,000 in 2000 to less than 1,700 in 2006, a loss of membership that caused the Muslim rights group’s annual income from dues to drop from $732,765 in 2000, when yearly dues cost $25, to $58,750 last year, when the group charged $35.
The organization instead is relying on about two dozen individual donors a year to contribute the majority of the money for CAIR’s budget, which reached nearly $3 million last year.

CAIR membership plummets - Washington Times
As to your question:

Quote:
Honestly - if these people took over America, and Islam ruled this country, would you not be OK with that?
People taking over a nation is illegal and those who try to do such are criminals and should be treated as such. The government has no way to control if I perform or do not perform Islam. That is personal between each Muslim and Allaah(swt) it requires no human leadership nor organization.

Yes, I would like the world to be 100% Muslim. but only through the free choice of every person.

That will not happen until Jesus(a.s.) returns and with the Mehdi conquers the anti-Christ and all people follow Jesus(a.s.) to Islam.

I wish your dreams could come true but your views are a one man crusade and not in alignment with reality.
First you cannot get ALL [100%] Muslims to your side because the truer Muslim who has to comply literally with the Quran and Hadiths will not agree with your wish.

Now, there is no way your views will be reality because reality is as follows;
1. A high percentage of humans are evil prone, say 20% [Normal Curve]
2. Thus a potential pool of 20% of 300 million evil prone Muslims.
Muslim Opinion Polls - Challenging the 'Tiny Minority of Extremists' Myth
3. More than 55% of the 6,236 verses has evil laden elements [of various degrees] against non-believers.
4. The evil laden elements catalyze and inspire the evil prone Muslims into committing terrible evils an violence onto non-Muslims as supported by the glaring evidence we see from the past to the present.
The above reality of 1-4 is fact and is indisputable.

Therefore if 80% of Muslims, i.e. 1.2 billion condemn the evil acts of SOME evil prone Muslims from the pool of 300 millions, it will not have any significant effect to change the reality of 1-4 above.

Because of the following;
1. the Quran is the immutable words of Allah and therefore cannot change,
2. there will always be 20% of evil prone Muslims
the terrible evils and violence will never be stopped as long as the reality of 1-4 exists.

If your other wish/dream of the World being 100% Muslims then you are introducing and creating a pool of 1.4 billion evil prone Muslims. [7 billion x 20%]. Even they are all Muslims they will find ways and means to exercise their evils based on the evil laden verses of the Quran. Again there is evident proofs Muslims are killing other Muslims.

The first solution to all the terrible evils and violence committed by SOME Muslims is to recognize and accept the reality of 1-4 above. Then only can we have some effective grounds and ultimate root causes to deal with.

Among the victims :

-Mohammad Merah killed 2 muslims : Imad Ibn Ziaten, Mohammad Farah the 2 were militaries

-The Brothers Kouachi killed : Mustapha Ourrad (corrector in Charlie Hebdo, muslim when he was young then we don't know) and a police officer Ahmed Merabet (muslim)

-The Paris attack : one of the victim is the cousin of the soccer/football player Lassana Diarra (muslim)
[Lassana = Hassan in african countries]

I saw on the news that among the victims who were in hospitals waiting for their relatives some were muslims.

Among the foreigners who can be muslims there is : 2 algerians, 2 morrocans (one wounded), 2 tunisians, 1 senegalese.
(source France24)

We'll know more later i guess about the victims.

People should remember that terrorists don't care if there's some muslims among the victims.

We stand for the victims all over the world.
2 days before the Paris attack , there was a bomb attack in Lebanon too.

You are a white American guy with American cultural sensibilities who for some reason chose to convert to this religion. Sorry, but it is not your kind of people who define Islam. Most of the other people who practice it are not condemning the terrorists, they cheer for them. Your fellow believers in the Middle East would laugh in your face if you started preaching "free choice" to them. As another poster said, it is a one man crusade.
