Actually, many Muslims throughout history have been misunderstanding their peaceful religion. They had killed 3000 in one day for worshiping the golden calf (a misunderstanding of course) and the blood bath in the desert before getting to the holy land and then worse after getting there. They had also misunderstood Jesus (peace be upon him) and wanted to crucify and kill him (another misunderstanding). The list can go much further.

Un-Islamic radicals and un-Islamic terrorists would be appropriate.

But then again it would cause a problem, it wouldn't serve the purpose, would it?
