Just curious as to the ways of retiring in Islam. I understand that the idea of "interest" is forbidden in Islam and typically retirement funds are based on some form of gains through interest, so without having a pension, which as I understand it to be acceptable, how does a Muslim retire without working the rest of their lives?

Joe Bradford has some great advice on this topic.

As long as your 401K or other investments are in the market, and invested in "halal" companies/products then you're in the clear. There are a few halal mutual funds which stay away from interest and won't invest in pork/porn/alcohol/tobacco/etc...

Minute 21:10 of this video
Says verse of Al-Asr
And I do not know what is the relationship of this verse on the subject
Because this verse be interpreted in a different way
And nothing to do with the economy or retirement or zakat
---------------------------

1-According to my information
All Islamic states based on European laws in the pension and social security theme
There is nothing in Islamic law is clear in retirement
2-
In Islamic law
Zakat is distributed only to Muslims
In other words, who is not a Muslim, does not deserve al -sadakat

2-Christian in the Arab and Islamic countries do not receive money from the Zakat House
Because Christian or a Jew or infidel
It always pays to Muslims
Aldzeah
------------------

For this reason, if this was a person in America who is Muslim and receiving government subsidies from the treasury of the US State

3-Which is better in the application of human justice
US law, a human source
Or Islamic law, a divine source
Muslims also believed
------------------

4-He wants to prove that Islam is known as retirement savings and new laws
It must submit evidence from the Koran
And it does not depend on modern humanitarian law
----------------

Of the most important differences between modern law and Islamic law
It is the fragmentation of wealth
While the world offers today is the result of the accumulation of wealth
But Islam does not allow the accumulation of wealth
And it does not allow them to grow too
The banking system is known in the West
Rejected by Islamic law
For this reason
See the word Islamic Bank

Islamic law defines the word bet -(al -mall)

Islamic law does not know the word bank
-----------------------------

But the sources of money in the house of Islam

What about the House Finance Muslims resources: they are many and varied, in the ancient and the modern.
According to "Mawsoo'ah" (8 / 245-248):
"Money House resources:
a. Zakat of all kinds, which takes the Imam whether the phenomenon of Zakat funds, or invisible, from Alsoaim, and crops, and money, and offers .-.
B. Five booty movable, and Booty: are all the money taken from the infidels fight, except land and real estate, fiord one-fifth of the house of money, spent on its banks, Allah says: (And know that you have gained nothing, the God five and the Messenger and the one who kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer .. ..) verse.
----- this is the Finance House of the Islamic state resources-----
Here booty is one of the sources of money in the house of Islam
Is modern laws accept this source in banks
-----

Are the spoils are Halal
And the benefits of banks is haram
Which is better O lecturer

al-gezea , namely: What hits on the necks of the infidels to stay in a Muslim country, these shall be subject to every head of adult men who are able amount of money, or hit the whole country to lead an amount of information, even if performed by those who do not answer it: It was a gift, not a tribute.
-------------------
Are there laws in European countries in the infidel countries, according to the Islamic law
The Muslim pays al-gezea
----------------
Many questions he sent to a friend who raise this issue
