Why are there criminals who are Muslim? In my opinion for the same reason that many Christians, Jews, Buddhists, et all are criminals.... they're human beings with all the weaknesses that come with the package of being a human being.

I am sure someone has pointed this out, but in case they have not here is the Federal Bureau of Prisons statistice on religious makeup in prisons. You will notice Muslims are a long way from the top as are atheist.

I have expanded the figures to provide a % of the total respondents, and I have ranked them (they were presented to me alphabetically).

Luckily, Christianity left its violent backward ways in the dark ages.....when will Islam do the same?
You are an IDIOT, what planet are you on?

George Bush invaded the Middle East East in the Name of the Christian GOD, he is responsible for over 1 Million deaths in 8 years, how many people have Muslims killed?

W invaded Iraq in the name of wmds, and quite possibly greed, oil, and personal revenge depending on your political leanings. He did not invade Iraq in the name of the Christian god. You see, the US is NOT a theocracy ---- which planet are you on that this fact escaped you?

Furthermore, I fail to see how strapping bombs on down syndromed women and sending them off to a pet market filled with other muslims can in anyway be related to GWB foreign policy debacle. That would be more in line with evil, self serving political/religous sects at war with one another. This, I might add I learned from muslims on this very forum.

And yet he never denied that it was God who guided him.
Or do you call your president a hypocrite?

Whether you believe if America is or is not a theocracy is irrelevant, especially when it is Dubya himself who believes that America is a theocracy.
Besidez, capitalism is a theocracy; simply because capitalists worship the almighty $ above all else.

Tricky, the US is not a theocracy. W has never called the Iraq war a holy war. If he says he prays before making a decision, big deal. The point is, (and if you were really understood American politics and society you would know this) The president doesn't have the power to unilaterally declare war on anybody. He can advise it, hope for it, even campaign for it but he cannot do it. He has to have the acceptance of the house and senate. They agreed with the information they had at that time. Do you know how many practicing christians are in US government? Not many. Sure they may say one thing, but do they practice? No. Religion has no place in US politics, anymore then they do in the Netherlands.
As far as capitalism goes.......I had no idea that the Netherlands didn't like to earn and accumulate money

Nabil Shaath says: "President Bush said to all of us: 'I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, "George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan." And I did, and then God would tell me, "George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq " And I did. And now, again, I feel God's words coming to me, "Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East." And by God I'm gonna do it.'"
(...)
"Abu Mazen was at the same meeting and recounts how President Bush told him: "I have a moral and religious obligation. So I will get you a Palestinian state."

Source: BBC - Press Office - George Bush on Elusive Peace
Unless Nabil Shaath and Abu Mazen are both liars, I consider this proof that Bush does not believe at all that the American state and church should be seperated.
BTW what has Bush's religion to do with a Palestinian state?
The mess in the Middle East has nothing to do with any religion whatsoever, but with the fact that the victors of WWI England & France divided the African continent amongst themselves without any regard to the indigenous cultural history.

The Dutch Christian democrats are more socialists than capitalists.
The Netherlands is a social democratic nation and not a capitalist country like America.

Again, Bush may think what he likes, he still cannot implement foreign or domestic policy without the support of the house and senate.
Another thing for you to consider.....Bush is out in less then a year.

Call it what you like, if money is being made and people are getting rich --- that is capatilism.. Unless you are telling me that there are no rich nor poor in the Netherlands?

In the Netherlands there certainly are no poor people like in America or any other 3rd world country.
Here we have a social security safety net to which every poor individual or family can turn to. They will still be poor but at least they will have a roof over their heads and food in their belly.

As do the American poor. If you truly believe that the US is a third world nation, perhaps you need to leave the idyll you call home and travel the world a bit. Oh my! An Ameican telling an European to travel the world! Hell must have frozen over

LoL, as if I've never set foot outside Europe.
I just have no interest in America.

As I understand it your American poor are just as poor as say South African poor, except South Africa doesn't have the resourceces to tend to all their poor, while America can but for some reason chooses not to.
