The Quran on the Cerebrum:

God has said in the Quran about one of the evil unbelievers who forbade the Prophet Muhammad from praying at the Kaaba:

No! If he does not stop, We will take him by the naseyah (front of the head), a lying, sinful naseyah (front of the head)! (Quran, 96:15-16)

Why did the Quran describe the front of the head as being lying and sinful? Why didn’t the Quran say that the person was lying and sinful? What is the relationship between the front of the head and lying and sinfulness?
If we look into the skull at the front of the head, we will find the prefrontal area of the cerebrum (see figure 12). What does physiology tell us about the function of this area? A book entitled Essentials of Anatomy & Physiology says about this area, “The motivation and the foresight to plan and initiate movements occur in the anterior portion of the frontal lobes, the prefrontal area. This is a region of association cortex...

Also the book says, “In relation to its involvement in motivation, the prefrontal area is also thought to be the functional center for aggression..

Figure 12: Functional regions of the left hemisphere of the cerebral cortex. The prefrontal area is located at the front of the cerebral cortex. (Essentials of Anatomy & Physiology, Seeley and others, p. 210.) (Click on the image to enlarge it.)

So, this area of the cerebrum is responsible for planning, motivating, and initiating good and sinful behavior and is responsible for the telling of lies and the speaking of truth. Thus, it is proper to describe the front of the head as lying and sinful when someone lies or commits a sin, as the Quran has said..

Welcome to the forum, I see this is your first post. It is interesting that the functions of the brain have been mapped out in such detail. Speaking about lying I've read something about a new type of technology that may be coming soon in which we'll be able to detect a lie by getting a reading on the suspects memory. When someone commits a crime they're going to have a memory of details of the event that no one else would have. This technology would allow investigators to ask specific questions to the suspect regarding details that someone at the crime scene would have a memory of. A person who wasn't there would have no memory of the event but the criminal who committed a crime would involuntarily register a particular reading on this machine indicating that they did indeed have a memory of what happened.
So it sounds like you're saying that there was knowledge about the parts of the brain that were involved in lying based on passages from the Quran.

Actually, I'd wonder about the function in the brain which claims stupidity as a confrontation towards the HONEST switching action. Some people lie to themselves because they WERE stupid to get consumer confidence. Oh yes; are you sir right wing politicized; or is the world changing on ME that way?

Although it's easy for psychopaths and well-trained spies to cheat the lie detector, many scientists believe it may be possible to nab liars by going straight to the source of mendacity: the brain.

It's got a lot to do with the honest customer allowing two wrongs:there is the consevation's deceipt and the subject in deceipt concerning the Nature. In Spirit to the Right two wrongs make a right.

The End is Near.
