Salman reported that it was said to him: Your Apostle teaches you about everything, even about excrement. He replied: Yes, he has forbidden us to face the Qibla at the time of excretion or urination, or cleansing with right hand or with less than three pebbles, or with dung or bone.

Volume 5, Book 58, Number 200:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

That once he was in the, company of the Prophet carrying a water pot for his ablution and for cleaning his private parts. While he was following him carrying it(i.e. the pot), the Prophet said, “Who is this?” He said, “I am Abu Huraira.” The Prophet said, “Bring me stones in order to clean my private parts, and do not bring any bones or animal dung.” Abu Huraira went on narrating: So I brought some stones, carrying them in the corner of my robe till I put them by his side and went away. When he finished, I walked with him and asked, “What about the bone and the animal dung?” He said, “They are of the food of Jinns. The delegate of Jinns of (the city of) Nasibin came to me—and how nice those Jinns were—and asked me for the remains of the human food. I invoked Allah for them that they would never pass by a bone or animal dung but find food on them.”

Volume 1, Book 4, Number 144:

Narrated Anas:

Whenever the Prophet went to answer the call of nature, he used to say, “Allah-umma inni a’udhu bika minal khubuthi wal khaba’ith i.e. O Allah, I seek Refuge with You from all offensive and wicked things (evil deeds and evil spirits).”

Volume 1, Book 4, Number 145:

Once the Prophet entered a lavatory and I placed water for his ablution. He asked, “Who placed it?” He was informed accordingly and so he said, “O Allah! Make him (Ibn ‘Abbas) a learned scholar in religion (Islam).”

Allah’s Apostle said, “The prayer of a person who does Hadath (passes, urine, stool or wind) is not accepted till he performs (repeats) the ablution.” A person from Hadaramout asked Abu Huraira, “What is ‘Hadath’?” Abu Huraira replied, “ ‘Hadath’ means the passing of wind from the anus.”

Volume 8, Book 82, Number 797:

Narrated Anas bin Malik: A group of people from ‘Ukl (or ‘Uraina) tribe ——but I think he said that they were from ‘Ukl came to Medina and (they became ill, so) the Prophet ordered them to go to the herd of (Milch) she-camels and told them to go out and drink the camels’ urine and milk (as a medicine). So they went and drank it, and when they became healthy, they killed the shepherd and drove away the camels. This news reached the Prophet early in the morning, so he sent (some) men in their pursuit and they were captured and brought to the Prophet before midday. He ordered to cut off their hands and legs and their eyes to be branded with heated iron pieces and they were thrown at Al-Harra, and when they asked for water to drink, they were not given water. (Abu Qilaba said, “Those were the people who committed theft and murder and reverted to disbelief after being believers (Muslims), and fought against Allah and His Apostle”).

[MY COMMENT: The idea of drinking urine remains in force today, as do other practices of Muhammad (MEMRI, June 2007): Media Uproar Following Egyptian Mufti’s Fatwa on Companions of the Prophet Muhammad Being Blessed by Drinking His Urine]

Volume 1, Book 5, Number 277:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, ‘The (people of) Bani Israel used to take bath naked (all together) looking at each other. The Prophet Moses used to take a bath alone. They said, ‘By Allah! Nothing prevents Moses from taking a bath with us except that he has a scrotal hernia.’ So once Moses went out to take a bath and put his clothes over a stone and then that stone ran away with his clothes. Moses followed that stone saying, “My clothes, O stone! My clothes, O stone! till the people of Bani Israel saw him and said, ‘By Allah, Moses has got no defect in his body. Moses took his clothes and began to beat the stone.” Abu Huraira added, “By Allah! There are still six or seven marks present on the stone from that excessive beating.”

Book 030, Number 5654:

Jabir b. Samura reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: I recognise the stone in Mecca which used to pay me salutations before my advent as a Prophet and I recognise that even now.

Volume 8, Book 82, Number 808:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, “The boy is for (the owner of) the bed and the stone is for the person who commits illegal sexual intercourse.’

Volume 5, Book 58, Number 188:

Narrated ‘Amr bin Maimun:

During the pre-Islamic period of ignorance I saw a she-monkey surrounded by a number of monkeys. They were all stoning it, because it had committed illegal sexual intercourse. I too, stoned it along with them.

When I got married, Allah’s Apostle said to me, “What type of lady have you married?” I replied, “I have married a matron’ He said, “Why, don’t you have a liking for the virgins and for fondling them?” Jabir also said: Allah’s Apostle said, “Why didn’t you marry a young girl so that you might play with her and she with you?’

[MY COMMENT: Muhammad married Aisha when she was six years old, and consummated the marriage sexually when she was nine and he was 54.

Book 008, Number 3311:

‘A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) married her when she was seven years old, and he was taken to his house as a bride when she was nine, and her dolls were with her

Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64:

Narrated ‘Aisha:

that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).

I used to wash the traces of Janaba (semen) from the clothes of the Prophet and he used to go for prayers while traces of water were still on it (water spots were still visible).

The wives of the Prophet used to go to Al-Manasi, a vast open place (near Baqia at Medina) to answer the call of nature at night. ‘Umar used to say to the Prophet “Let your wives be veiled,” but Allah’s Apostle did not do so. One night Sauda bint Zam’a the wife of the Prophet went out at ‘Isha’ time and she was a tall lady. ‘Umar addressed her and said, “I have recognized you, O Sauda.” He said so, as he desired eagerly that the verses of Al-Hijab (the observing of veils by the Muslim women) may be revealed. So Allah revealed the verses of “Al-Hijab” (A complete body cover excluding the eyes).

Volume 7, Book 62, Number 33:

The Prophet said, “After me I have not left any affliction more harmful to men than women.”

Book 041, Number 6983:

(Allah is Greater) and Khaibar is ruined, for whenever we approach a nation (i.e. enemy to fight) then it will be a miserable morning for those who have been warned.”

Volume 4, Book 52, Number 270:

Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah:

The Prophet said, “Who is ready to kill Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf who has really hurt Allah and His Apostle?” Muhammad bin Maslama said, “O Allah’s Apostle! Do you like me to kill him?” He replied in the affirmative. So, Muhammad bin Maslama went to him (i.e. Ka’b) and said, “This person (i.e. the Prophet) has put us to task and asked us for charity.” Ka’b replied, “By Allah, you will get tired of him.” Muhammad said to him, “We have followed him, so we dislike to leave him till we see the end of his affair.” Muhammad bin Maslama went on talking to him in this way till he got the chance to kill him.

[MY COMMENT: Ka’b bin al-Ashraf was murdered by Muhammad’s followers for the crime of having verbally criticized Muhammad and his teachings. Asma bint Marwan, a female poet, suffered the same fate. The murder of Theo van Gogh by the devout Muslim Mohammed Bouyeri in Amsterdam in November 2004 was based on the same principle as these murders of Islam critics almost 1400 years ago. The Sunna of Muhammad, his personal example as contained in the quotes above, is valid forever.]

I doubt Mohammed Bouyeri was a devout Muslim, because his Arabic has always been very limited.
To be considered a devout Muslim you have to have at least a reasonable understanding of the original language it was written in.
Second Mohammed Bouyeri is a fanatical Muslim which is not the same as a devout Muslim. Fanatical people have the tendency to isolate themselves from the rest of society.
Mohammed Bouyeri started to isolate himself when his father remarried after the death of his mother. The fact that he felt abandoned by the death of his mother and his father remarrying made him vulnerable to organisations who pray on people who only wish to belong to a group or family.
Third Theo van Gogh is not as nice as so many Americans believe he is.
If Theo was born in America he would have been sued by Christian organisations, Jewish organisations, pagans and every other organisation in-between.
I mean don't get me wrong, IRL Theo is a nice guy who could not even hurt a fly, but he is brutal whenever you enter a discussion with him.
Theo believed himself to be the jester, to be harmless, but he forgot that not everyone will see him as he perceived himself to be.
I mean call Muslims goatf**kers or Catholics a bunch of paedophiles and you are bound to attract the 'wrong' kind of attention.


I guess Theo van Gogh just wasn't funny enough to consider himself the king's fool*.

Ka'b bin al_Ashraf

Kab did not simply insult the prophet Muhammad and Muslim women. He did much more, he went to the prophet’s enemies and incited against Muhammad alongside them , In other words, Kab incited the Quyraysh to FIGHT AND KILL MUHAMMAD.

Kab incited people to kill Muhammad and Muslims, so therefore he became an enemy, it doesn’t matter if Kab did not raise a weapon. Using that logic then that means that every accomplice in a murder case is free to go since they never really committed the crime, they just helped out!

In today’s legal system, if you incite murder that is seen as a crime and you yourself are guilty of murder as well. This is exactly what Kab did; he incited murder and violence, so therefore he was taken care of.

Asma' bint Marwan

The story of the killing of Asma' bint Marwan is mentioned by Ibn Sa'd in Kitab At-Tabaqat Al-Kabirand by the author of Kinz-ul-'Ummal under number 44131 who attributes it to Ibn Sa'd, Ibn 'Adiyy and Ibn 'Asaker. What is interesting is that Ibn 'Adiyy mentions it in his book Al-Kamel on the authority of Ja'far Ibn Ahmad Ibn Muhammad Ibn As-Sabah on authority of Muhammad Ibn Ibrahim Ash-Shami on authority of Muhammad Ibn Al-Hajjaj Al-Lakhmi on authority of Mujalid on authority of Ash-Shu'abi on authority of Ibn 'Abbas, and added that

...this isnâd (chain of reporters) is not narrated on authority of Mujalid but by Muhammad Ibn Al-Hajjaj and they all (other reporters in the chain) accuse Muhammad Ibn Al-Hajjaj of forging it.

It is also reported by Ibn al-Gawzi in Al-'Ilal and is listed among other flawed reports.

So according to its isnâd, the report is forged - because one of its reporters is notorious for fabricating hadîth. Hence, such a story is rejected and is better off being put into the trash can.

One thing that I find to be funny is the people who assume they know what the Ahadith are.

Like nearly all things related to Islam, a single line is not a command nor the entire statement.

Another is that without the tafsir of the Hadith, it is very difficult to understand what one means.

Using just one example from the list

While that is a reasonably accurate word for word translation of the original. It does not convey the meaning.

A more accurate meaning would be:

"Obey your leaders, even if they are of people different from yourself''

Arabic is very metaphorical in regards to adjectives. When referring to a person's head it often means the personality of a person or heritage of the person.
To state a head is like something is essentially denoting a physical aspect of a person's race. A raisin is typically black
here we are speaking of an African Black person,which would be another way of saying non-Arab.

The entire listing in the OP appears to be word for word translations with no regard to the meaning or significance of each.
As a Muslim I see it as highly insulting and an attempt at ridicule with no desire to understand.

The closest thing I see to humor is how word for word translations from one language to another result in different meanings.

The Prophet said, “If anyone of you rouses from sleep and performs the ablution, he should wash his nose by putting water in it and then blowing it out thrice, because Satan has stayed in the upper part of his nose all the night.”

first one needs to understand what shaytan is.

Shaytan is not the same as the Christian concept of Satan.

Although the Best known Shaytan is Iblis and Iblis is sometimes refereed to simply as Shaytan

But over all Shaytan is anything that causes us to go astray. or be distracted in prayer. It can be another person, a distracting thought, a bug, mucus in our nose, a distracting noise and many other things.

What is described in that Hadith is the wudu we perform prior to performing the obligatory prayers.


Typically we will do it when we first wake up just before we do the Fajr prayer.

It is my understanding that in that Hadith the Shaytan referred to is the distracting mucus that may collect in our nasal passages during sleep.
