That is the end goal of Islam. The Koran teaches that Allah can only return to earth once Muslims take over the world, then and only then will Allah return. That is what the Jihad is all about.
Zardari said in a television interview that the Taliban had expanded their presence to a "huge amount" of Pakistan and were eyeing a takeover of the state. "We're fighting for the survival of Pakistan. We're not fighting for the survival of anybody else," Zardari said, according to a transcript of his remarks that CBS television said it would air Sunday.
Don't many Christians believe much the same thing, thus why they send missionaries to every corner of the world and believe that Acts 1:8 requires them to spread Christianity "to the ends of the earth"
Christians are framed for mental work on the considement sufficient proof that their bodies weren't doing less of the Thinking. (smiley; guess which one; the particulate one for no....body).

The significant difference being that Christians do not have a fatwah hanging over their heads should they convert to Islam.

I disagree, I believe that since the European enlightenment, most Christian areas have banned the killing or forced-conversion non-Christians. Prior to that many Christians did have religious orders to kill non-Christians as is evidenced by order from the Council of Toledo in 681 targeted at civil authorities requiring them to behead those guilty of non-Christian pratices of any sort.
Additionally Violent attacks, Inqusitions, Crusades and lynchings, often state sponsered of Jews, Pagans, heretics, or suspected false Christians were common throughout Europe and the Americas until European, and American monarchs and legislatures began banning the practices throughout the 17-19th centuries.
Evidence of this fanaticism is still visable in Africa however, where in many countries, women and children are branded as witches by fanatical preachers and are killed, banished or have their property seized. Additionally to make matters worse several conservative churches throughout the rest world support these witch hunts and have lauded the religious leaders who carry out these atrocities.
So while not every Christian is violent and in general Christianity is a good and peaceable religion, many who seek to spread it to the "ends of the earth" have and do employ violent means when they are not restricted by secular authorities.
On this board, it's ok if you're christian.
It's always everyone else who is wrong.
Reality is knocking, you should answer.
