I have a problem with any religion or organized group of any kind that forces their members to adhere to a dress code which is essentially wearing a costume. As I've said before, head to toe black material in sweltering heat is not practical because the color of the fabric absorbs the heat and would make it unbearable. I didn't watch the videos and I'm just responding to the title of the OP because I find the second class status of women in the Muslim world to be so offensive.

I think anyone wearing such clothes without a good reason (such as protection from chemicals etc.) is kind of antisocial because hiding one's face means hiding emotions and mimics, which are important for society to read.
Not to mention the health effects. In Ireland and the UK there are already cases of rickets among those Muslim communities radical enough to wear those clothes. Those women just don't get enough sunshine anymore, which leads to a vitamin D deficiency.

Well, many Islamic women willingly wear the burqa. So, it's not like they're really oppressed, suppressed, compressed and depressed

interesting.
comparisons to analogies with regards to internet correspondence have not yet been worth considering, or do you know better?

kindly include this seeming digression into op's topic!

.... hard-pressed though for the relevant news otherwise remaining too much of a puzzle, or a mystery, of the recent past, for instance!

Do not know the truth, take the secret of the veil

You look at me and call me oressed,

Simply because of the way I'm dressed,

You know me not for what's inside,

You judge the clothing I wear with pride,

My body's not for your eyes to hold,

You must speak to my mind, not my feminine mold,

I'm an individual, I'm no mans slave,

It's Allah's pleasure that I only crave,

I have a voice so I will be heard,

For in my heart I carry His word,

' O ye women, wrap close your cloak, So you won't be bothered by ignorant folk',

Man doesn't tell me to dress this way,

It's a Law from God that I obey,

Oressed is something I'm truly NOT,

For liberation is what I've got,

It was given to me many years ago,

With the right to prosper, the right to grow,

I can climb mountains or cross the seas,

Expand my mind in all degrees,

For God Himself gave us LIB-ER-TY,

When He sent Islam,

To You and Me!

Are you for real?

Let's take a referendum across the islamic girls.

I bet on my bum that the girls wanna wear all kinds of dress 90-10.

The burqa was reserved for an age in Islamic evolution, back in the day. These girls don't need to be locked. And if they are to be locked it, let's not justify it.

Men rule the roost in Islam. So it's exactly the way men want the ladies to dress. Let's not drag Allah into the fray
