“Ardi Refutes Darwin’s Theory,” Al Jazeera announced, in an Oct. 3 article not available on the English version of the website. “American scientists have presented evidence that Darwin’s theory of evolution was wrong,” the article opened. “The team announced yesterday that Ardi’s discovery proves that humans did not evolve from ancestors that resemble chimpanzees, which refutes the longstanding assumption that humans evolved from monkeys.”
Amazing, isn't it, how things are quote-mined by these desperate folks? They don't begin to understand the mechanisms of Evoluton. They also pick some specific clarifying statement on the part of scientists, who have NEVER stated, within the past 40 or so years, that we evolved directly from apes. Rather, from an earlier co-ancestor. and then they claim that scientists now refute Evolution. Is that what you got from the link? Really?
So now, their clarification of some ancestral development and Evolution is suddenly a complete refuttal of Evolution? They can only wish....
Question: How can you refute something that...
1) makes perfect logical sense
2) has proofs for all the necessary component biochemical and genetic mechanisms
3) completely explains the huge and ever-growing masses of fossil, geological and DNA evidence that supports it completely, and refutes, completely, Insta-Poof Genesis.
4) now has an irrefutible, incontrovertibleproof from Dr. Lenski (2008) on speciation. No God required.
Ooooops. (But go ahead: denialism is sooooo attractive and scholarly! And I'd heard that Muslims thought of themselves as open-minded academics and scholars.... apparently not.)
