I cannot see how any sacred book whether it be Christian or Islam can have anything in it to prove anything scientifically...

Or are you saying that he can't be a true Muslim because Alhazen wrote insightful commentaries on works by Aristotle, Ptolemy, and the Greek mathematician Euclid.

Be that as it may tricky, but there still is no science in the Quran, and the Islamic scientific discoveries are long in the past...Islam has not evolved nor adjusted to present times.

Are you implying that there is science in Christianity or Judaism?

And just because very recently the pope finds it all right that his followers can use condoms to prevent getting Aids Christianity isn't backwards?
Heck the medieval Christians didn't want to give Islamic scientist their props; they called Alhazen "The Physicist" or "Ptolemy the Second" so they could deceive themselves into believing that (modern) science is purely a Western occasion.

No, but there is very little if any science in their holy books either... The thread is about science in the Quran, remember.

Oh, I know and don't need to be reminded.
I just stated the fact that the Qur'an is written by non-Caucasian people.
It seems that jingoism still lives in the US.
I mean where do Americans get the gall to call Muslims backwards while up until Martin Luther King JR. the black American was seen as inferior to white Americans?
Where even now homosexual Americans can't get married in front of the law (or church for that matter).
Where American medical personnel risk the chance of getting killed because they perform abortions?
Now this is what I call backwards.

Trying to base modernity and science on the accomplishments from 6 or more centuries ago is pathetic.
