Charity attached to an agenda ceases to be charity, and becomes that agenda.

Christian organizations are going there to prostylize, pure and simple, so don't bother patting yourself on the back.

BTW...

Foundation Beyond Belief | Focusing, encouraging, and demonstrating humanistic generosity.

Lists several organizations that are ACTUALLY charitable and aren't there just to "spread the word".

Quartar, Iran, UAE and Jordan are all donating money or direct supplies. Lebanon is waiting for the OK to send in its experts. (I guess they are good since they had to rebuild Lebanon after the last war with Israel.) India has pledged money and like Lebanon is waiting for the OK to send in its own peacekeepers. The Japanese are already on the scene. This is now the day before yesterday's news available on the web with some research.

In certain cases, you need to protect yourself or someone else from being harmed by another,
but be aware of making it your mission to "eradicate evil", as you are likely to turn into the very thing you are fighting against.

Fighting unconsciousness will draw you into unconsciousness yourself.
Unconsciousness can never be defeated by attacking it.

Even if you defeat your opponent, the unconsciousness will simply have moved into you,
or the opponent reappears in a new disguise.

Whatever you fight, you strenghten, what you resist, persists.

This forum seems to have an obsession with muslims.
Heed the warning above, good people.

Hey Jazzymom, you're going to have to get the hang of the feature my dear. If you don't, it may confuse you as well as those reading your replies. I tried to DM you on how to do it some time back but you have your DM on lock down.

Just suggesting a helpful tip going forward.

Well, since the Muslim population constitutes .04 percent of the Haitian population, they are going to have a heck of directing their relief supplies exclusively to their people!

I saw something on the news that mentioned the French were there, but honestly, I'm not sure what religion is dominant there. Also a reporter mentioned Turkish relief help. But you are right about criticism towards Christians any other time, but let a crisis come down, who do people expect or look to, for help? However, let me just add, I would not want to asssume, that every brother or sister that is helping out in Haiti, from other places, are of the Christian faith. God bless them anyway!!

Governemnts by far outstrip any "Christian Charities" sending aid to Haiti, or for any disaster relief for that matter.

Well-said.
And I agree.
What was that line about removing the plank from your own eye before you can see clearly what anyone else is doing?
