R.I.P. Jubilee Jam

It was fun while it lasted. Saw James Brown and other greats like BBKing...ate turkey legs and drank beer....oh well...now what Jackson?

We need another Music festival don't you think?

Sad situation indeed. Great times were had there. Saw 3 Dog Night in '90 or '91(?) and it was the best concert I have ever seen. JJ brought the whole city together.

It was a struggling event to put on every year anyway. I think the organizers were just poor planners and ultimately fumbled away a good recipe for success in a music festival. All the ingredients were there but again, the planning sucked a lot. It went downhill every year since the early 90's.

Hopefully there's something better in the works for the future. just got to be

Jubilee Jam was ok but, it wasn't my forte when it came to a large music festival. What should really be in rememberance is the "Miller Lite Crawfish Boil." That was a damn good time.

RIP Miller Lite Crawfish Boil.

Wasn't the festival held in the summer? That always seemed strange to me considering the heat. Seems that Jackson would be better off with a festival in the fall.

Then it would have to compete with college football and various hunting seasons.

Does anyone have the lineup for the JJJams over the years?

I loved the early years. I used to come down from Nashville and work it. Does anyone have the lineup over the years?

So, what was the exact reason Jubilee Jam ended?
