MODERATOR: Link removed...sorry, Wiki is very ticky about their copyright. According to Markablue, Sr. Moderator -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wikipedia's license, the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) requires that any derivative of works from Wikipedia must be released under that same license, must state that it is released under that license, and reproduce a complete copy of the license in all copies of the work, and must acknowledge the main authors (which some claim can be accomplished with a link back to that article on Wikipedia).

In other words, any quote from Wiki should contain the above links plus the link to Wiki page...

And City-Data's own - Raymond, Mississippi (MS) Detailed Profile - relocation, real estate, travel, jobs, hospitals, schools, crime, news, sex offenders

As a sidenote, if you have young, school aged children you will most likely need to check out the private school situation in the area. Hope this helps. BTW, welcome to C-D's forum.

Nowhere in Hinds County is good, except Clinton. The penitentery is located in Raymond and there are warning signs all over the place about hitchhikers, etc. Be careful. Clinton has excellent schools and is a good clean community. Choose Clinton and get the heck out of Raymond.

Well, my goodness. See what happens when you try to help someone out with info. I will not make that mistake again. I promise I will NEVER refer to Wikipedia in the future.

Thanks for calling this to my attention. Boy, you're never too old to learn something new and if you ever quit learning, you may as well just shrivel up and die.

Believe me, Sassy, that was a surprise to all of us! Admin, Marka and Yac did the research on what is allowed and Wiki apparently has one of the stronger copyright rules in place. Just something to tuck back for future knowledge, and thanks for understanding!

I went to school in Raymond. It is very small and pretty. Not much happening there. There's a main square with a couple of banks, shops, two or three restaurants, and a barbershop. I've strolled all over the town and never had a single problem. I used to TA at the elementary school, and I liked it a lot there. Odd fact: there's a cemetery right smack dab in the middle of the school's playground! The school was built on donated land, which happened to have a cemetery on it, so the cemetery was fenced off and left there. Quite a shock when you first see kids playing duck-duck-goose next to some headstones.

Default Raymond MS?

Thanks,

The position is located near raymond, so travel wouldn't be an issue, if not raymond, any other places within a 30 min commute? Already checking on Clinton...
