Everywhere you go? Where do you go? There's no trash in Woodlea, Woodhaven, Lakeover, Heatherwood, Eastover, Leftover, Fondren, Belhaven, Woodland Hills, and a host of other neighborhoods in Jackson.

So where the heck in Jackson do you go?

Mostly I-20, I-220, W Capitol St, Robinson Road, my granddaddy lives off of Ellis Ave closer to St Charles.

So you paint all of Jackson with the same brush, because you only spend time in some of the most impoverished neighborhoods? I spend almost no time in West Jackson, and assuming all of Jackson is the same as West Capitol Street is the height of ignorance.

Jackson should study Durham North Carolina. No one wanted to go to Durham, especially downtown, for several decades, now it's incredibly vibrant and attracting millions of dollars in investment.

My aunt and uncle live in Pearl, and while the suburbs (Madison, et. al) are fairly nice and I understand why people move there, part of Jackson's problem seems to be the lack of places to go in...well... Jackson. I was happy when Whole Foods came to Jackson proper instead of the suburbs. Not because I'm against the suburbs, but because Jackson needed it more. I haven't spent much time in Jackson, but I was disappointed in the lack of good parks and walking trails. I went to a park that seemed pretty nice, from the entrance, but I had to pay.

The problem at this point is getting businesses to locate in Jackson west of I-55, as that is where the vast majority of the city and it's population lives.

What also helps Durham is Duke University and the Research Triangle Park.

Start with fixing those potholes in downtown Jackson. They didn't leave me a good impression. I'm glad my car survived.
