I was going to post this, night-before-last, after being on the phone with Dowager Soybean Empress, who spotted it on the news - giving me a blow-by-blow - or weave-by-weave - account of the action: "At least three separate weaves, detached from heads, and lyin'-around, everywhere...".

But all I could find was Kingfish's YouTube video, which, while thrilling in its own right, only showed one little piece-o'-weave on the floor (but did offer excellent shots of one Sumo-sized combatant's underwear).

So, I waited, and sure enough, the WAPT footage that Dowager Soybean Empress was watching, has finally been posted: https://www.wapt.com/article/store-s...store/25775804

Kingfish's video shows much more of the girl-on-girl-on-store-security action, and is even set to music: Jackson Jambalaya: FOOD FIGHT!!! (Literally) Nice music, although I personally would have set it to that parrot's arrangement of "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uguXNL93fWg - or maybe Drowning Pool's classic original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HORkT4a2MhQ ...or maybe re-mix, sampling the parrot?

Yawn. Just more people doing an injustice to those of with early onset thinning and other illnesses which are also reasons for wearing wigs. Of course, many folks would rather laugh about that, too.

This is what happens when you have a sale on double coupon day.

On the subject of grocery stores, anyone remember the "stamps" that used to come with the receipt from the Pig? Never really knew what they were for, I'm assuming you could collect enough and redeem for something? On a sad note, some Pigs in central MS are rumored to the closing.

Customers uncertain about the future of Piggly Wiggly stores
I hear that the one in Rosedale is affectionately called the "iggly iggly" (because, when the store first opened, the 'P' and the 'W' of the sign, were not illuminated). But definitely, you can't be properly 'Southern Gothic', without a Piggly Wiggly. The stores should be declared World Heritage Sites, critical for the survival of Southern Literature.

But back to the little contretemps at the Food Depot: did you notice that, over the heads of those involved in the melee, are giant red letters, ominously, scoldingly, almost biblically, reading "Wall of Values"?

One wonders what sort of "values" lead to a dozen Shamu-sized people, screaming, wrestling, weave-pulling, and letting their miniskirts ride up to show their panties (not to mention braining the security guard with a bottle of syrup, and throwing cantaloupes at each other).

Won't somebody please, please, PLEEEEEEZE post video of the throwing of the cantaloupes? There's got to be cell phone video of that. The world needs to see...

That's hilarious. But what is a "weave"?

Extensions are weaved into hair to make it appear fuller or longer. https://www.elle.com/uk/beauty/hair/...guide-reviews/ After all, every girl wants to look her best whether she's flinging cantaloupe around at Food Depot, or just perusing the pork at "Iggly Iggly!"

Default UPDATE! Food Depot Closing! Councilman Stokes Has Theory

The West Jackson Food Desert is expanding. Several more West Jackson communities will now lie within its boundaries. Esteemed City Councilman Kenneth Stokes, says the closure of Food Depot is due to "thieves and lack of security". https://www.wapt.com/article/closure...ties/43814667# The videos at the beginning of this thread, however, may be useful in the development of alternative theories.

Where, in the midst of West Jackson's ongoing food-desertification crisis, will a girl go, when she wants to display her cantaloupe-flinging skills?
