You may recall in 2014 or so, a cloud data storage company bought the building and was going to put in a cloud storage center there, along with a building for UMMC, but it fell through.

This could fall through, too.

That could be possible, but I'm going to believe it will happen.

This is in Fondren with a reputable developer. It actually has a good chance of happening.

I hope this is the first of many investments. North Fondren or NoFo as I like to call it, has a lot of land to develop. I wish this development luck.

I wish them well. I was very disappointed when the cloud storage deal never happened. Things are a lot different now in Fondren, with the restaurant renaissance and the hotel, so hopefully this project will complete.

I'm hoping the developer has some deep pockets and this doesn't turn out like the metro center and so many other planned developments. I performed a cursory search, but didn't find much on the developer other than he has an office on North State Street. Hopefully Jackson Jambalaya will do some investigative work on this so we'll know if this guy is "all hat and no cattle" or not.

I work at the new bowling alley/tiki bar/movie theater in Fondren and it's been doing well.

Not a bad idea. I don't want this to be smoke and mirrors.
