If your heading south on 55 you'll notice some land clearing along the road before the Fortification at exit. Anyone have any idea what's going on here? Doesn't look like utility work. Looks like roadwork.

I wasn't aware of this, as I haven't been down that way in over a week. I'll check it out tomorrow.

I think you're talking about right there in that little patch of forest, where they've cleared off what looks like a path, and that's been going on for awhile now. It's sewage pipe work, and they're laying down new pipes and all that good stuff.

So the area is being developed for use because that doesn't appear to be just routine utility work.

I'm not aware of any development slated for the area. I'm also of the belief that it's just laying down new pipes or replacing old ones, especially with the Water Works plant being just a stone's throw away.

Yeah it's got to do with the Water Works plant.

If you like closely, you will see an old hobo camp in the patch of woods that is still standing.

Any chance this is related to that Museum to Market trail that goes from south of Fortification over to behind the Waterworks plant?
