I have family visiting next week, and we'd like to go to the beach. Can anyone recommend a good beach to try, preferably with restrooms. I don't mind paying to get in since easy access and some facilities are a must with little kids.

We are staying in WGV, so ideally something in St J County would be great.

Thanks!

We live in SJC and will be taking our family to Anastasia State Park. That's definitely one of our favorite places to go (and we live here year 'round).

I have another beach question. What is Mickler's Beach like? A good friend of ours who used to live here mentioned that is where they used to go all the time.

Definitely Anastasia Island state park as recommended by Dappleganger and also St. Augustine Beach is great with restrooms near the pier and by other public parking areas. Most parking areas are free. Beach is clean and family friendly

We just went to Anastasia Beach today. I really enjoyed it. It was very clean...and pretty white sands......good bathrooms too!! I think we'll go back, but want to check out all the beaches around here.

Thanks for the update! So how much was it to get in? I read there was a little store/deli/restaurant type place there - did you happen to notice? How were the crowds?

8.00 for a car of us. I believe up to maybe 6 or 8 people. We had 4. It's 4.00 for one to get in. Big parking lot......there is a restaurant/bathroom etc there. I didn't get a chance to check it out, but you can't miss it, it is right next to the parking lot.

we'd definitely go back.
