Followup to Ginger Bistro
I don't know exactly what nationality the food is at Ginger Bistro - some Thai and some Asian - but there is one on 210 in St. Johns as well. And it used to be wonderful but I think the owner is working at the one in PVB and this one has declined somewhat. Still a very nice place but the food isn't as incredible as it was. Hope he comes back here soon!

We tried this place last night. Was pretty good, even eating off the "Newcomer" menu. When they saw use we got the smaller, more "Americanized" menu. We will have to try the 'other' menu next time.

I haven't seen Hong Kong Bistro's newcomer menu. I've been there twice for dim sum. What should I try next time?
A funny thing- we have asked for chop sticks both times and they seemed surprised. Never had that reaction anywhere else before...

Blue Bamboo has terrible food, and it is overpriced. That's not real Asian food. Don't go there.

You are better off going across the street to the Wok House; they have better food than Jackie Lee.

As for someone who is an ABC and originally from New York, Hong Kong Bistro has pretty good dim sum! It is a bit expensive but what can you expect when there is only one dim sum place around. We were there the past two weekends because my husband has been craving it lately. They also have good Seafood pan fried noodles, or uhhhh "seafood in the dried noodle nest" as someone else mentioned. I only know how to say it in Mandarin. No clue of the official English translation.
As for FOB = Fresh off the Boat
ABC = American Born Chinese.
