I was visiting my sister last week and went instagram crazy in JAX, I took a picture of this park in Riverside right by my sisters office. What is the name of this park? It's right by the Publix and some condo developments, really cool neighborhood. I apologize for the unnatural instagram filter look.

I know I'm sorry haha It is Memorial Park, I wanted to get a picture of the big globe statue thing but people kept standing around it. I think Riverside is my favorite neighborhood in JAX, My sister lives in San Marco but that just feels a little stuffy for me. I've thought about moving there for years but the industry I work in does not exist there and I'm not sure what I'd do

The sculpture 'Life' by Charles Adrian Pillars 1924 at Memorial Park sometimes called "the big globe statue thing"

I took these photos several years ago when I first got into photography

Well done! I will take another shot at getting a picture of it when I'm back in town.

So I was in Jacksonville last night hanging out at One Spark and I got some photos. Sorry I didn't get any good ones with people, and street scenes. I'm still practicing getting shots that show more personality than my usual architecture heavy obsession. As always I love it here and can't figure out why more people haven't discovered how cool JAX is.
