First of all, the people are very nice and courtesy. DC is not like that.

Right now, in the crashing housing market, there are great deals on houses all over the area.

Traffic is not gridlocked like other cities.

There are a lot of different golf courses to choose from, if you play.

There are miles and miles of beaches to enjoy.

The weather is not terribly bad here. We don't get snow storms, hurricanes or tornadoes.

People have a positive attitude here, and it's a great place if you like to play outdoors.

The laws are favorable for lawful citizens to carry weapons to protect themselves and their families.

Cost of living is pretty decent.

The weather is on point and has been for this week, let it continue. I was driving over the Dames Bridge yesterday and the breeze coming off the river was beautiful

I resent that ...just because they aren't doing as well as others, does NOT mean they suck. If you are a true fan and Jax resident, you will stay by them no matter the stats.

I will say that the Jags are trying to get it together. I can respect Jacksonville losing when they put up a good fight against a better team but when they just throw games, that's lame on many levels. I like Jacksonville because it passes for a major city but retains it's southern, small-town feel.
