Cool Marinas in St Johns Co

We moved from S FL (Pompano Beach) to N of Atlanta. It's nice here, but my husband has salt water in his veins, and I (as you might have guessed) miss the beach and associated activities. We have decided to move back to FL, but to the northeastern part. A little research tells my inner voice that St Augustine area is where I want to be. We visited there on 2 occasions and are confident that it "feels" right. We still have much to do before we are ready to move, though. My husband wants to go from selling cars to selling boats.
My questions are...
A. How can I get good information about the marinas in the area and available jobs at said marinas...
2. (LOL) Where is a good area to start looking for real estate... We are not rich, but can afford a decent house and still want to be near the water - not far from decent jobs. I prefer a small, quiet neighborhood with homes not on top of each other and with mostly older people.
That will start me out on my journey into the future.
Longing to feel the waves on my feet again... Thanks for your help!

I imagine you've googled already?

There are tons of marinas this way. There seem to be less (and they are smaller) in St. Aug, but they are there. I believe there is also at least one boat-building company in Palatka, west of St. Aug.

There's also the possibility of living in St. Aug and commuting to Jax for the boat sales job (but be ready for the possibility of a long commute).

There are a ton of marinas in Jax. I drive down Beach Blvd to go to the beach and pass at least 6 or 7...maybe more?...it's like one continuous strip of them clustered in one spot right there on Beach Blvd at the Intracoastal. Try googling "SeaDoo Jacksonville" to see the basic location (and there are others....this is just Beach Blvd that I'm speaking of - they are all over).

Beyond googling, I'd suggest:

* picking up a few boat mags and look for ads
*searching for a boating forum and look for ads or post an inquiry there

Best of Luck .
