I am moving to Jacksonville in August. I am heavily considering living in PVB since it seems to offer cleaner, quieter residences. My concern is the commute. What is the average commute time from PVB to I-95?

Additionally, if you know of any high quality apartments closer to I-95, I am willing to look. (It seems like most reviews mention bugs, noise, and too many ill behaved children/students of which I want none.) Thank you in advance.

Hi Sahjek,

Will you be working downtown (is that why you'll be travelling on I95)?

Do you want to live at or near the beach, or are you more interested in an easy commute to work?

There are nice rentals in Ponte Vedra, as you've seen online, but you can also come inland a bit and find some nice rentals...it all depends on your own personal priorities. Can you give us a few more details?

When I lived in PVB, not to far from JTB, if I was on the road before 7 am I was at 95 in maybe 12 to 15 minutes. The farther south you go in PVB the longer the commute.
Now if you want to be closer the Villiage Walk apts near gate parkway and JTB are very nice. I would live there and I have that wild children/student thing too
For peace and quiet it is well worth the few extra dollars.
Another option to consider is renting a condo or townhouse there are many of these available in nicer complexes.

Thank you for the replies! What types of places are nicer that aren't in PVB?

Aside from Village Walk that Myfask mentions above, if you were to look outside of PVB, you could look at apartments:

In 32246/32225/32224:

San Pablo Road
Hodges Blvd
Kernan Blvd
Monument Road
also Gate Parkway, as mentioned above

In 32256:

Southside Blvd
Baymeadows Road

These areas have a mix of apartments, plenty to choose from, all price ranges. The first grouping tends to be the newer apartments (this area developed later).
