House Hunting Adventure - Part 1

Well, we visited St Johns County last week for the initial phase of our house hunting trip and here is what we discovered:

First, we found a builder and floor plan in Durbin Crossing which really appealed to us. However, the CDD fees seemed a bit outrageous at $3,300.00 per year.

Second, St John's Forest was nice, but we didn't have much time to really explore this neighborhood. Not sure how much the CDD fees are in this community.

Next we checked out Wellington Park and Colony at Greenbriar. No CDD fees, but didn't find an existing house or floor plan that wowed us. I liked both of these communities.

JCP is huge, and we went through several of the smaller "sub" communities within JCP. However, didn't see many listings, which I know is a good sign IF we move in the next 7-10 years (which is unlikely).

Also checked out Cimarrone, South Hampton (foreclosure city), and a few others on 210 near I-95. None of them made our top choices.

Does anyone have any other suggestion of communities that we should check out on SR 13? Rivertown is just too far out there to consider.

Didn't have time (or really interest) in checking out Nocatee. Again, it just seems too remote for the time being.

For those of you who live in these areas, your thoughts are welcome.
