Best BBQ in Orange Park and Jacksonville
What is rated as the Best Barbeque in town? I realize that there are many 'styles' of cooking pork.
I figure I would take my brother in law to a place that has great BBQ. His favorite is Carolina BBQ in New Ellenton, SC.
Riveree! Help!

Bono's
Bono's or Sonny's or Woody's (pretty much the same, but Bono's is probably the best).
I had to outsource this answer......I'm a vegetarian Titanium !

I saw most of his shows last week. We have tried 2, Dukes and Mojos. Both were pretty good. Duke's had the best Corn "nuggets" that we have had so far. They also have daily specials and don't seem to mind you take some home. (Nice lunch the next day). We will eventualy try out his other suggestions, probably this weekend.

out of curiousity this is, been wondering this for some time as I see more veggie oriented signs in shops now
are there many decent veggie dishes and does it not affect your health not having say chicken for protein or meat for iron?
can you still eat fish?
sorry for the extra questions but was just wondering

I haven't had a piece of red meat in over 20 years and I'm still alive !
At this time, I do eat fish (generally only when I eat out), and I have some dairy (yogurt, cheese) and I eat plenty of tofu-based foods too (packed with nutrition).
In years past, I've been much stricter with my diet, I've been vegan and even macrobiotic (and I was healthier during those times than I am now).
I became more lax about my diet when I moved to FL, due to the lack of vegan options here actually. So, though my health is good (better than average for my age, etc.), it could be better and I am striving towards making some of those changes again. It's easy to develop an overreliance on carbs if you're not watching out for it, so it takes a bit of extra effort to be sure you're well-balanced in a veggie diet.
I have no desire to eat meat (no steak, no chicken, etc.) and don't expect I ever will again .
Planning to go veggie, are we Manchester ?

We went vegetarian for a while then one day after 2 and 1/2 years as vegetarians. We met some friends at a place called Mcguires back home in Pensacola. Our friends ordered a big old juicy Cheeseburger and without blinking an eye I said "me too" my wife looked at me like I had horns sticking out of my head and then said "me too". We are considering going back to the lifestyle. You are right you have to watch the carbs just because twinkies are vegetarian friendly. Doesn't mean they are good for you.

Yeah, the two-year mark is often where people go back to eating meat.
With the coming of Whole Foods, Fresh Grocer, another Fresh Market (@ Queen's Harbour) we should have lots of new veggie options in Jax .
Lawstudent, if you haven't been, check out Native Sun. The original store is on San Jose Blvd in Mandarin, but the new store is just off of 9A on Baymeadows Road - it's a fantastic health food store (and huge). They have a big deli counter too:
