It's super easy to get a gun here unless you have a felony. You just go to a gun shop or show and purchase the gun.
If you hold a concealed permit: Purchase the gun and leave with it on the spot.
If you don't have a concealed permit: There will be a background check and a 3-day waiting period, then you pick up your gun.
Getting a conceal permit is easy too, you can do it on a Saturday afternoon at a gun shop ($40/$50).

You're a bit confused. you need a permit to buy a gun in NJ, you will never get a permit to carry one and there is no registration requirement. I've never needed any recommendation letters to get permits to buy a gun, then again I am on a first name basis with the police chief.
In Fla you take a safety class get a permit and you can carry your gun all you like. I haven't registered my weapons here

You r right you will never get a carry permit unless you are a cop or somthing like that. When i went for my rifle permert it was about 10 years ago and I had to get 3 letters of reconmendation. Maybe it was becasue i was only 18 but that is what i need to do.

Took the class for my concealed weapons permit today. The guy was great (except for the few derogatory comments about liberals- ).
First, they took those of us who hadn't shot out back and we shot six rounds. I shot bullseyes all six times- but it was close range, maybe 10-12 feet. Then the guy went over the law, gave out copies of the statute, gave scenarios.
It was very interesting, I wish I had brought my son with me. About halfway into the class the guy whips out four concealed weapons that he was wearing. There were about fifty in the class and he was holding two classes today.
There are classes offered all over. There was one going on at the gun show that I qwent to and the folks looked to bored. I went to one that was held at the St. Augustine Outlet Mall at Gander because the guy was recommended. I figure it's like traffic school- it's mandatory and ya can sit through it and pass or ya can go to someone good and learn something. This was a good class.
(And what a cool store- it's got all kinds of outdoor stuff in addition to guns-camping, fishing, lots of clothes, furniture, grills.)

HIF you should of invited the PPP to go
then we would have to add a couple more P's to the PPP
A guy I use to know would go to some gun club on the westside for target shooting

Never judge from 1st Experience
I am certain the individual had a negative experience at Bullseye Gun Range. I would like to simply comment that as a long time shooter that my experience at Bullseye is totally different.
Staff and all at Gun Gallery are excellent friendly and it is a nice range. I personally find the number of shooting booths at Bullseye to be superior. The lighting is far better and it is a brass clean shooting area range. As such the expended brass is always sweep clean of shooting bays.
They have recently completely remodeled the range with new paint lighting and distance lines.
Both ranges are good ranges but I suggest that each reader try both ranges and make your decision based upon your own experience.
Bullseye is a very safety oreinted range and I do understand that in the past had some overly vigilant employee's. Current management are complete safety, professional shooting experts.
Try them both I do and I use both.

I just had a horrible experience at Bullseye Gun Range yesterday and will NEVER go back. The bald guy with glassed behind the counter was so rude and belligerent, that I am forfeiting the remainder of my membership. I have never had a friendly encounter at this place.

I'm looking to a snub nosed 38. Planned to go to the Gun Show at Jax Fairgrounds this weekend. My brother in law said it was the best place to buy one. I'll let you all know how it went.
