He said he learned almost nothing and the most interesting thing he learned and uses now is contract writing, thats it. Ive meet multiple people that have communications degrees from UNF and UCF, and they cant white balance a camera, cant use a tripod and cant edit together a 1 minute clip using Final Cut Pro.

I learned all of that in one semester at FCCJ.
Although this is OT - can you explain to me what you said - like what it means to "white balance" a camera - and what is Final Cut Pro?

I am a very half-ass** amateur photographer. Just take pictures for fun. At places like the practice rounds at the TPC today - and the Alligator Farm during "bird season".

I would probably never learn to "white balance" a camera - or use Final Cut Pro - but I like to be able to talk intelligently to people I meet who really know what they're doing with cameras - especially the pros who show up for sports photography at the TPC and nature photography at the Alligator Farm.

FWIW - although I haven't downloaded the 100+ pictures I took today from my camera into my computer - I think I got some good ones. And the best thing was my hat. New one (always wear a new one). Signed only by our 2 local guys who won the Fedex Cup - Jim Furyk and VJ Singh. And Jim Furyk had a funny practice round. He was playing alone - with his caddie and Jackson De Ville. Really nice. Jim Furyk is a class act (as are many of our local pro golfers). Robyn

Thread closed for mod review.

It is unusual that a thread in this particular forum needs to be shut down, but this one was veering too far off track and was becoming hostile as well .
