Being a respectful animal lover, I cannot resist answering your question. There is no such thing as a Yorki Poo "Breeder". Yorki Poos and other mixed breeds, "designer dogs", are just that. Mongrels/mixed breeds. Sold by pet stores, puppy mills, and indiscriminate breeding through neighbors and so forth. Any reputable "breeder" breeds their dogs to keep the breed pure and the characteristics of health and temperament. It amazes me that people actually want to pay high dollars for mixed breeds. I will take a mixed breed dog any day, they usually are the unwanted at all the shelters. Very sad.

I have to agree with Quilter Chick and ditto everything she said. Get a Yorkie or a Poodle or just go to the shelter and get a mixed breed that needs a home.

Believe it or not, I actually agree with the both of you. I will take your advice and adopt from a rescue shelter. It may take a little time to find the one that steals my heart (actually, most of them will) however, I sure to find one. Thanks!!!

Oh goodie, you've warmed my heart! Don't forget the breed rescues as well. Many times people cannot take their beloved pet with them on a move, or for other reasons, and you can just Google the type of breed you want in your particular state, for example: Golden Retriever Breed Rescue, NC. My daughter rescued a beautiful Dalmation a few years ago, the owners could not afford to have surgery she needed on a tumor on her spine and the chemo that followed. She is fully recovered and is a perfect LOVE.
