Jacksonville all the way I can't stand Charlotte. Bought my First BMW bike there and it, the city seemed like a dump and very overrated. But then that was back in the mid 80's. I was stationed at Ft. Bragg and living in Southern Pines which I loved.

The rednecks have been forced out of the city due to expenses. Most of the NASCAR teams are based in Concord, Huntersville, and Statesville. No teams are actually set up in Charlotte.

Lived in Huntersville, right above Charlotte, for a year in 2008. Since we are into boating, we thought the Lake Norman area would be "our cup of tea", but didn't turn out that way.
