New open air mall in world golf village?
when is this supposed to break ground? it is called the espalnade and is by ben carter. we really need something like this.

The Esplanade is set to open in 2010, I believe.
Avenues Walk, across from The Avenues Mall, will open sooner (supposedly this year?). It's in Jacksonville, but it's close enough to be convenient to many Northern St. John's county residents. Neither will be as upscale as the Saint John's Town Center, but they should be nice and have all the major stores you'd find elsewhere.

Also they have already begun site clearing for "Lion's Gate" across from WGV. From their website I would guess the likely tenants would be something along the lines of the strip on Southside w/ Target, Circuit City etc. Now I in NO WAY have any information on the actual tenants, but the site plan has about 4 larger sized builings w/ many out parcels up front. No matter what, shopping wise it is better than what is down there now, just not truly "upscale". But that intersection w/ 95 is going to explode over the next 2 years.

I just saw that this open air mall is now planned for cr210 and I 95. 800,000 sq ft of retail and 300-400 homes.
