Does anyone have information, insight or experience with the Oakbrook Subdivision in St. Augustine. To our eye it seems to be a decent spacious area with large lots, nice but not pretentious homes, mature trees, and some modest community amenities. Not too restrictive, but protective deed restrictions, and well located (except it runs along the train tracks behind a buffer of woods). Just what we think we are looking for. Thank you if you can help, or suggest other areas which are similar.

Thank you Peter. I knew you would know something about it if anyone. Still looking and hoping for larger lots and mature trees.

I know several families who live there and they love it. I haven't heard them complain about the trains. Many nice neighborhoods are within 1/2 mile of the RR tracks in St. Augustine.

Helpful news! It seems a mix of families and retirees - we are hoping to find that in a neighborhood. Have no children, but like to have them around. Thank you for the input.

It is a very good mix of families with children, empty nesters and retirees. There are 27 homes for sale in Oakbrook. Here's a link to them:

Mavoufl, I live in Oakbrook, and it sounds like you have a good grasp on this area. But despite the train, it is actually very quiet in this neighborhood. And I love the deer that live here with us! Other subdivisions with good-sized lots are Prairie Creek and Moses Creek. I'm sending a DM.
