Any good taverns/pubs in town?
Just moved here from Boston and was wondering were a guy can get a decent pint in this sprawling town? I am very thirsy - any ideas?  |

The Beach  !
Try:
Fionn Maccools
Lynch's (a classic!)
Fly's Tie
There are others, but the names escape me now.
Also, downtown is London Bridge.
Pick up a Folio (free weekly newspaper) and all the pubs will have ads  . |

Ragtimes makes their own beer! Sweet, I can't wait to check it out.
I inquired from one gentlemen about good microbrews in Jax...he gave me a very suspicious look and said "uh, Budweiser is brewed right here in Jacksonville, what more do you want?"
I'm probably more of a fan of anheuiser-busch products than most, and I couldn't keep a straight face.

Seven Bridges Brewery on Southside Blvd. also brews its own beer. Its owned by the same company that owns Ragtime and A1A Alehouse in St. Augustine. Seven Bridges and Ragtime both brew their own beer on site and have different selections at times. Both have great beer and food.

I like Lyche's on the beach. They have a good Trivia night on Tuesdays.
London Bridge is only ok to me, usually it's too quiet for my tastes and the ladies never go there.
The beach scene is really different though. Just depends on what you want.
