I'm trying to figure out how to get somewhere that I can shoot photos of the bridge both during the day and at twilight. As some of you know, I'm a photographer but I have a thing for bridges (personally) and have been wanting to figure this out since I first moved here and drove over it.

Thanks.

Gonna be tough to do w/o a boat ... but, there is (or was, don't know if it's still there), a small park underneath the north end that has a dock ... might be able to get some interesting shots there ... to the east, try wandering thru the neighborhood on the southbank off of Ft Caroline Rd & Fulton ... just west of the south end, you might be able to go thru the YMCA to the river (Ft Caroline Rd & Hartsfield)... unless the YMCA has changed, they had a dock you could walk out on ... good luck

I'll have to check it out. A boat wouldn't be all that good for me to shoot from because of the way I plan to shoot it. I need the ground.

Thanks.

I know of a boatramp (Lonnie Wurm) west of the DPB in Arlington that has a nice dock that provides good views of the DPB and also a vacant (but overgrown) riverfront lot also just west of the boatramp in Arlington that provides excellent views also. Both are on Ferber Rd at the end of Rogero Rd see link for better directions...

Thanks. I'll have to check this out. Sounds like it might be what I'm looking for.

There's a park at the North end, but from what I remember you're almost under the bridge.

Dames Point Park

Here's a page with a photo from that vantage point:

Have to check that out, too! Nice vantage point for a bridge shot.

Darn. I thought the title to this thread meant that you were posting some of your photos. I enjoy looking at them as you're a great photographer!
