I wouldn't put too much weight into people who just joined and have only 1 post in this thread. It's very common for someone who works for a competitor to do stuff like this. I'm currently building a house with Dreamfinders in Durbin Crossing North, so if you would like some honest feedback, feel free to reach out to me and I'll gladly tell you about my experience, what to look out for, etc.

Yep I agree with skooba. Not a reliable source. We are currently building with DF in Yulee. Anyone is welcome to message me with questions.

Default Also check with BBB on builders

I would always check with the BBB on any builder you are going to build with. The Better Business Bureau will show a BBB rating if they are a member and show you the number of complaints and how the number ranks with other similar sized builders. My belief is that they count all complaints throughout the country, so DR Horton, as a larger builder has quite a few complaints, but not too many compared to other national builders of similar size. It also list if the builder has resolved the complaint or tried to resolve the complaint. From what I recall, it doesn't look to good for Dream Builders based on these ratings - proceed with caution may be a good strategy.

I would certainly hope that anyone who is looking to build a house would do some background research on their builder.

That being said, we looked very thoroughly at every builder in the area and went with DF based on several factors.

I also would hope that people will proceed with caution no matter what builder they choose. It's impossible to please everyone and all business with have complaints. Internet reviews can be very helpful but also need to be taken with a grain of salf. Any pissed off idiot with a keyboard who didn't get their way can easily post on any of these sites, BBB included.

We've been watching this forum from the outside. We're building with DF in Johns Creek. I only registered to chime in on the last couple of post.

Yes, BBB is not good for DreamFinders but I asked the seller that direct question and we were pleased with their answer. They said they were at fault and explained what happened. If you noticed it's just 3 complaints and those same complaints are on multiple sites. They sold me with their honesty, I'm big on researching so I agree, always do your homework but don't be afraid to ask questions..

Brittoncombs, we are also working with Quincy and he seems awesome even though he's a Gators fan.... we drove pass your house, looks nice!

Congrats!! We met another couple this past weekend that was building in the area.

We're in the back at one of the lakes, building a Wellington also. Our slab just got poured, so we're looking at early next year sometime.
