Who the hell would want to live in a town where you were told to avoid "this" area or "that" area and oh, by the way, don't go to "this" area at night and you should be "ok"? Tis a shame for sure!

Police Gang Farce would better describe it. At their salaries why should they risk their necks to lock these punks up, only to watch the nil witted judges let them out? Face it, we have a crippled judicial system in this country that doesn't work. Plea bargaining should be outlawed. These half witted D.A.'s are causing much of the problems in our society, along with the judges!

If anyone would do a home invasion at my address, they would come in standing and leave laying down!

You used terms like "broken" and hurting". As a rule, a person who is broken or hurting will generally reach up for help. Those that don't, commit suicide, unfortunately. The entire problem would be repaired if when a person commits a crime, they do the entire time. The days of plea bargaining should be in the past. Even a mad dog will eventually adhere when punished enough. Plea bargaining a murder down to voluntary man. 1 gets you a 10-15 yr.stint with parole just around the corner. Enough time to pay? I think not. This whole country is weak on crime. Parole should be outlawed as it is in many other countries that now have very little crime. The fact that many children that come from broken homes rift with poverty have made something of themselves answers that arguement. The "Not my child" senario that many parents use is also partly to blame. These kids know how to get over on their parents, trust me. Parents can only point the kids in the right direction, but they must follow the yellow brick road, or spend time at the crossbar motel. Yep, it has gotten that far. PLEASE stop all the stroking of all these "poor" punks and start chellenging them to a senario that if you feel that tough, lets see just how tough you really are! All the lovy dovy sruff that has been going on for years & years hasn't worked, as you can see. Now it's time for tough love!

When are they going to have another gun buy back program? I thought that that was a great way to get some of those illegal guns off the street. It was a shame that someone would even think about stealing a pair off jeans. And use a gun while in the act! Maybe after the elections the economy will pick up and more jobs will be around. I think we have a good sheriff but he can't be pressured into getting soft. For the most part people in Jax are good people. I guess it just matters who you chose to run around with!
