Looks like 25 miles? Will I run into any congestion going from Nocatee to Shands Jax Med Center? Work 8:00 - 4:30.

Others will probably be more able to answer than I as my evidence is based on a single rush-hour 'test-drive' however I timed my drive during morning rush hour from Coastal Oaks to the downtown offices at Fuller Warren at right around 45 minutes. That was with one accident and some very slow bridge traffic (possibly due to a second accident). You'd be going a little further. We are a bit buried compared to most Nocatee subdivisions and I suspect my test was a bit slower than true average so I would guess 45 minutes would be pretty close to a typical rush-hour commute.

Takes me 35 minutes on a normal day to go from Austin Park to Downtown, I usually leave around 8. Any rain or accidents and that climbs up to an hour. Obviously the earlier you leave, the better. I usually take US1 and cut over to 95 at Old St. Augustine.

It's about 35 mins to downtown from Nocatee. I have foud it quickest to take US1 to 295 and hop right over to 95 (I used to go Old St. Augustine Rd too). If there is any rain or accident, commute could be up to an hour. However, the neighborhood and schools are amazing, so well worth it to me :-)

I dont think its bad at all.. I lived in Palencia, and now live in Durbin Crossing... You can take US1 all the way up.. or hop onto 295/9a and take it to 95, or ride down to the 95 entrance by the avenues.. Its really not that bad of traffic at all.. I usually tune into the news or 690am to see if there are any wrecks and plan ahead just in case.

Leave your house at 6:45AM and you will see very little rush hour traffic.
Leave your house at 7:00AM and you will see way more rush hour traffic.
Leave your house at 7:15AM and you are now rush hour traffic.
Yes 10-15 minutes either way can make a great deal of difference.

Beware of possible problems with I-95 construction a few years down the road. Of course - if there are transportation budget cuts - you may not have to worry about construction-related delays. Robyn
