Considering that Palm Coast alone has a population of about 75,000, I'm surprised that it doesn't have it's own forum; maybe could include Daytona and St. Augustine

I don't see why not. Throw Deltona in there too. It has a population bigger than either of those.

Wouldn't a Daytona Beach forum make more sense, with Palm Coast included with that?

Works for me; maybe "Daytona-Palm Coast" Forum.

The problem is soon there would be little activity on that forum. When a forum has no new posts, the few regulars that check it out at first drift away. So I'm against this idea because my future questions about St. Augustine would go unanswered.

OK, instead of just being against the idea, how about this: St. Augustine could remain under JAX, and the new forum would be the Daytona-Palm Coast area.

You'll still have the same problem, too little activity.

Consider what happened to Frederick, MD. It used to be that people ho wanted to know about Frederick would ask questions on the Nova forum or on the MD Suburbs of DC forum.

I remember two years ago a friend of mine had questions about Frederick and posted them on the Nova forum. It may not be considered part of our region, but it's not that far so a lot of people in Nova know people in Frederick or spend time there or once lived there. By the end of the day she had ten helpful responses.

Now Frederick has its own forum. At first it did ok, but after a month or so it started to die. Now it's not unusual to have 5 or more days go by without new post, and people who post questions there don't get the sort of help they used to get. I'd hate to see the same thing happen to people who have questions about the Palm Coast area.

IMO

St Augustine should be and will probably always be under the Jacksonville forum. As its a very important part of the Jacksonville GMA.

Daytona-Palm Coast -Holly Hill-Ormond Beach and maybe Sanford and Deltona would maybe make up a good forum.
