I know, everyone does, but I have a crush on Jax. I live in Tally, and love the big city stuff Jax has to offer.

IF i could only land a job I would move so quick!

Whats a good place to network for jobs?

Before anyone can give suggestions, maybe you should tell us what are you qualified to do?

If you hit up the usual job boards, there usually are some IT-type jobs. Also a few temp to permanent companies always looking for people.

College degree or not? A lot of places require a college degree, but not all. To work in "Planning", computers or a "tech" job, I believe that a degree would be required.
I can't say about the rest of the U.S., but Jax isn't real good as far as jobs go.

With enough experience, a lack of a degree is typically over-looked.

From my past experience with job hunting (lack of a degree) and knowing that my wife has been hired due to BOTH her experience and Bachelor's Degree, I'd really have to say that a lot of companies do want both. Depending on the position, there are companies out there that won't give an interview unless they see a major degree listed on the resume. And, some companies today want all three......experience, a college degree and certification (certificate).
Job hunting today sure isn't like the "good old days" when most companies only required experience.

Hardly anything today is like "the good old days" it seems.
And what's really sad is that these days are someones "good old days."

Default computers, IT

Well, I am a retired comp guy (since the 70's working with assembly language), and still working the net with my own little server farm out of my garage! If you have the right knowledge for computers you can get one of the few jobs in this very low tech area where ownership of your own lawn service equipment makes you an executive.

If you don't have the academics and in computers theyr'e pretty irrelevent because colleges are generations behind the marketplace; you have to rely on Show and Tell!

You have to show it, ideally on a working website with your name on it somewhere!

IMHO if you EVER have to depend on a cypher from the personnel department making the cut for you, unless your'e a minority, your'e doomed!
