I got friends on Julington Creek and we were hanging out on their dock sipping Sweet Tea (yeah right) and a buddy of mine looked across the way at an Island that splits I think Bartram Creek and Julington Creek. It would be right across from Clark's.
Anyhow he said "you know they are going to put a bridge over there bulkhead that island and develop it" Condos and homes he said. He is a contractor so I figured he might have a good source.
Has anyone heard this?
It would be insane if they did develop this area.

Insanity has never stopped developers trying to make a buck! No! Haven't heard a thing.
Julington Creek splits just before Clarks with Julington Creek going to the north and Durbin Creeek to the south.

That area is the Julington Durbin Preserve and is probably NOT open for development. Here's a PDF of the trail guide, which I found via coj.net.

I know about the whole wetlands and preserve thing. But I hope to God money does not come into play here. That is a beautiful unspoiled area.

It isn't an island either. It is a peninsula. You can actually park on Bartram Park and walk along it.
