Grilled or smoked beef is no different than grilled chicken; delicious, but not barbeque.

Great. Another hardhead, who's made up his mind, and now refuses to be confused by the facts.

Tell you what. Why don't go to Texas, and tell all the Northeast liberals down there, that beef can't be Barbecue?

My guess is that if you did that, we'd be able to add squid to the list of acceptable BBQ meats.

I would bet that you could find a rental even with 4 dogs in this market. As long as you put up enough of a deposit , people are more concerned about having good renters . Maybe I can rent you mine and we can move back to KC for a couple years. Ha. You might want to say you have three dogs , as 4 might put people off. I doubt anyone would ever come over and count your dogs.
It is amazing the amount of good food to be had in KC. If you haven't been back since 2005 you might be surprised with what has sprung up downtown.

My husband is probably going to come there for a few months and get a feel for the area. It's almost a done deal, just ironing out the details.

We could just switch houses, haha! I love my house here! We've fixed it up and put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into it. Not sure I want to give it up so we might rent it out. I'm also not happy about the prospect of no basement. After we moved form NC I said that I would never live somewhere without basements again!

In most of Florida a basement is called ... "an indoor pool"

I miss my walk out basement as well. That was my man cave , and I loved how cool it stayed down there during the summers. It was a JS Robinson home in a Rodrock community , and I enjoyed the experience with the builder and the developer. A stark contrast to my current situation where I like where I live in spite of the builder/ developer situation. Kansas City people had character , here it's more about making a fast buck.

I agree with you, donisanasfan. The absence of a walkout basements is the only thing I miss about my pre-Florida life.
