I am not from Jacksonville and have to travel from Orlando to Jacksonville Saturday night for a business trip. My meetings end late at night, so I am wondering what type of neighborhood I am traveling into, and if I should have any safety concerns. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

Can you provide a cross street. Fort Caroline Road crosses one of the nicest and one of the seediest parts of Jacksonville depending on which side of 9A you will be traveling.

That's the not so great end of it. You'll be okay though, it's certainly not the worst part of town by any means.
If you're going to wander - for dinner or something - it would be better to wander east and southeast if you're going to stay in the immediate area. Head down to Monument Road or Atlantic Blvd if you're looking for a place to grab some dinner. |
