Is this weather getting to anyone?
This weather is making me crazy. I think I have SAD or something. And I bought those spiral lightbulbs, which I so regret now.
Anyone else feel like the walls are closing in with all this rain? Are we all just sitting in our dreary spaces, trying to ignore the weather?

Aw, don't be SAD, HIF .
I'm actually kind of loving it . It's hindering some work I need to be doing (open truck bed kind-of-work), but other than that I'm loving it.
The lawn is well-watered, to say the least, and all the plants are looking great, so that makes me happy.
I read recently on the gardening forum that when it rains, the plants get extra nitrogen (it affixes to the water molecules, I guess?) and it definitely does seem to be the case.........eveything does look better when it rains .
I even have a Japanese Magnolia (aka Saucer Magnolia) that I noticed yesterday is blooming!! It's a Spring Bloomer and it's blooming right now! Okay, maybe that's not such a good thing for the tree, but it looks great .

Happy birthday, Karla.
I don't like the rain since I cannot practice my golf swing!!!!
I am playing this Monday and I haven't touched a club in a couple of months!

OMG! This weather is horrible. I am tired of being stuck out in the rain on a daily basis. I travel to Orlando every other week and am afraid to drive the highway with the downpour and poor visibility. I've only lived here a little over a year. Does this happen every year? It completely sucks!

I am okay with it so far, but may be climbing the walls by the end of today.
I like the cooler temps and I am amazed at the way the ground soaks it up without flooding, let alone puddling (here, at least.)
At work we could not take the kids outside two days in a row, that was a bit stressful.
The people I talked to said this much rain was unusual. I agree that it can make the highways dangerous.
I have been in north Florida almost two years now.
That is a short enough time to be able to clearly remember how bittersweet I felt this time of year in Colorado, where they expect gorgeous weather today, then snow and cold tomorrow.

thanks titaniummd
MsJax313Atl
I can not remember the last time it rained this long and this much, I don't think we had this much rain even back in 2004 when we got the residue from all of the storms.
I agree with you about driving in the rain if I am not driving I get even more nervous
lol I keep telling my hubby "slow down I can't see". He says "why do you have to see I am the one driving" Doesn't matter if I can't see I know you can't see so slow down !!!
Cil I remember Colorado this time of year wouldn't it be nice if we woke up and it was nice and cool

But not this cool! Below is the forecast for Colorado this weekend:
Summer-Like Today, Winter-Like Sunday
A Strong Storm Is Moving Towards Colorado
Overnight lows will also take a dive and we'll be near freezing on Sunday morning. The temperatures will get cold enough for some mountain snow and we may even see a few flakes in the foothills.
Actually the temps here feel pretty good to me the past couple days.

Maybe we'll appreciate the sunshine a little more when it comes out again. I hope it does cool off some here in Ga. I need to get out & practice on my golf swing as someone else said. Getting around friends & family might help. It's a rainy night in Ga must be raining all over the world. A neat song that captures the mood some of us might feel. The sun will shine again. Hopefully today! Best to all, Andy in Ga
