It's not great. Traffic from Middleburg all the way up to 295 ranges from moderate to very heavy. The worst is the northern stretch of Blanding blvd, which is some of the worst traffic in the metro area.

Once you get past Middleburg it's relatively smooth sailing, provided you aren't shy about driving 70mph on small county roads.
