Default Camping / rafting commute to Ga from Jax ?

Can anyone give us an estimate on distance / drive time for some "real" camping, tubing / hiking areas in the NFL / GA / Carolina areas from the Jax beach area? We're moving up from Melbourne, Fl. area for a job promotion and like to get away. Thanks - Vince

We live in St Augustine and went to Blue Ridge GA this summer.....on the way up we stayed overnight in Atlanta (5-6 hr drive) to see the aquarium, nice visit if you can squeeze in half day but buy tix on net in advance, 2 more hours to blue ridge. When we came home we drove straight thru but stopped often to shop, eat and pee (2small kids) several times and made it in about 10 hrs.
