Definitely. My roommate is particularly found of the turtle that roams the store, and also the skunk ( ). Me, I like the chameleons.

had heard only great things there til my experience this weekend! The owner who ive been told was great but a little curt..She was less than great, and super curt. If i hadnt promised my child their earned reptile..I would have walked out. The woman was impatient, rude, condescending, and all around nasty!! I wont go there for any of my future supplies, reptiles. Nor will I recommend! Word of mouth goes along way with me..and i will be letting my friends know. In this economy~they should be more appreciative of customers esp when you are spending several hundred dollars or a few dollars, granted we spent several hundred. i dont care if they had a reptile show going on, etc...staff your business and dont go into the shop if you dont want to deal with the public properly. I am very disappointed and will be recommending the Middleburg Reptile store, or petco. Atleast Petco employees are attentive, teach you about the items, and take time for you...

Wife and I went into the store not to long after arriving here in Jax......very interesting place! I remember we were looking at some snakes and my wife was standing right in front of a rattlesnake glass case and I heard this "rattling" sound. She walked away and I stepped over to where she was standing and the sound happened again. Low and behold it was a rattler giving off the sound right in front of my knees. Now, other than on tv, I had never heard a rattler sound off before! I looked down and sure enough that rattler was standing up and his rattler was going. I stepped away from the glass the the thing settled down. That sort of scared me, but it was still cool.
As far as how the owner acts, I think it's because she sees so many "looky-loows" come into the store. They even have a sign on the door that states the store is not a zoo!
Very interesting store, but sure wouldn't be a "hang-out" for us!!

One of her kids (I think) waited on us the last time I was there in between cell phone calls. That always ticks me off. But when I got my second rat there, they were closing and didn't make me feel rushed at all as I picked one out, even though the rats are sold primarily for food, the guy was very helpful helping me find a female.
When my GD wanted crickets to feed to the lizard she had captured, they just gave me a couple and didn't charge me.
I hope the experience when the owner was short-tempered is an exception.
