Dunno....A Razor Edge Blue sounds like a specialty (like a RedNose Pit). I'm pretty sure a Blue is quite different from a black.....regular black dogs - pit or not - are a dime a dozen .

People see how much dogs go for (couple hundred up to a few thousand) and just see dollar signs. "If I get 8 puppies and sell them each for $500, then I get $4000 for no work at all.... " But in realty, unless you are a TRULY irresponsible breeder, you will be lucky if you break even. Shots, food, clean up, Vet visits... And that is if everything goes just perfect... Then you have to get lucky and hope that you can sell them all... because they don't always get sold... Now you have more dogs....etc..

So true .
It really concerns me when people I know (friends, associates, neighbors), who have chosen to purchase a purebred dog "hold off" on neutering/spaying.
There seems to be this common thought of "well, I paid x for my purebred dog, if I could just find another person with the same breed who be willing to allow our dogs to mate, I'd keep a puppy, they'd keep a puppy, and we'd sell the rest".........it's the weirdest thing, but I hear this sentiment over and over .
As you can imagine, I do not hesitate to point out that if they follow through on that sentiment, that makes them "Backyard Breeders". Yup, no two ways about it, that's what you are if you do that, you're not a "Professional Breeder", you're a "Backyard Breeder" and you're responsible for all that comes with messing with genetics you understand nothing about, not to mention adding to the pet overpopulation problem .

Hmmm Riveree do we live in the same neighborhood? My neighbor is as bad as yours! Also a nice guy, tho not much to talk to since he is deaf and can't speak much. He has two dogs that live in the backyard never are they in the house and I have NEVER seen anyone play with them walk them or even just pet them. One of the dogs has mange and is blind in one eye and the other is a beautiful young pit bull and such a sweet dog. The pit always sits at the fence watching me play with my dog and whines. It makes me so sad and I wish I could take him but since my dog is used to being an olny child and this dog is the same age size and sex as my dog it wouldnt work out. And I can't call report the dogs because they are not starved & technically not treated cruely so there is nothing I can do.
I wish people would be more responsible with their dogs!! If you can't afford to take care of the dog properly and get it fixed or if you dont have time to pay attention to it, THEN DONT GET A DOG! And what does that say for all the strays and dogs waiting to be adopted? When will this problem end???

Heartbreaking .
What's even sadder is no, we're not talking about the same guy (my neighbor is not deaf), we're just talking about 2 guys and there are many, many more out there just like 'em .
