Seem that this time of year, they (about 1 1/2" spiders) get in somehow. Geeez, I kind-of like one of them.

I wonder at how long they live.... what do they eat?

Is this the one you kinda-of like's mug shot?

If so it is just a wolf spider, and it eats other
undesireable spiders like brown recluses and
black widows.

Default Spiders are a part of life for us here...

What we have found after being here about 6 months is that we must have an inside service come (we have Orkin) just to keep the spiders at bay. We signed with them initially as part of our lease agreement but truly, the spider biting began almost immediately in 2 areas of the home so we called Orkin in right away. After two visits a week apart, Orkin did the job and eliminated the critters or at least evicted the spiders for a while. It took about 3 months before the spiders started showing up again, little by little, but then again, the spiders came out in droves for blood and we all were once again getting exposed. Another call to Orkin again and this time I said for them it was time to get the schedule of about every 3 months down on to the calendar. We are very happy with them. It just happens here, not everyone will have them, but those that do, take care of them, others have other critters, its just a given that you take care of this and enjoy your happy tropical life. T
