Default Fuddruckers coming to the landing

I had an interesting chat with our waiter at Times Grill last night.
I asked "so how come the boss doesn't open a Times Grill at the landing"
he said thats because they are building a Fuddruckers !!
it is going to be behind the Twisted martini"
I have eaten at the one up in NJ and they have really good burgers

lol YAY I can now go down again and meet my hubby for lunch.

I use to go meet him before they closed the Ruby Tuesdays
then again when they had the philly cheesesteak place also now closed

I know you are all saying "but there are tons of places to eat down there"

But as a few of you know I am sorta "food challenged" so my choices are limited.

This is fantastic news. Jacksonville needs a Fudruckers. They have some of the best burgers around. Just two days ago I was just telling our office manager how great Fudruckers is and how it would be a hit in Jacksonville. I'm excited.

They have been trying to build it for a while now. They just have not started it. The sign saying "coming soon" faded and was taken down at some point. Who knows if it ever gets built. But I do love the place.

Fuddruckers in NJ has been our family's favorite for years. But I think the Times Grill and 5-guys burgers here in Jax are just as good! There's another one on Baymeadows and Southside - Chee burger, Chee burger (I think) that's okay too. Just not at the same level.

Hey Karla.

WRT 5 guys burgers, I think I saw a sign that said "we only cook 'em one way .... well done". Now, I don't know whether that was tongue-in-cheek or not.

You can have "options" installed on your burger. The last time I was there, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, with fried onions, lettuce, tomatoes and barbeque sauce. Sweet tea. Their fries are great!

You can have fried mushrooms and other stuff like relish (?), etc...

You can munch on buckets of peanuts while waiting for your order.

Gotta warn you, the regular burger has two patties and is really filling. When I'm not too hungry, I just go for the junior cheese burger which is sufficient.

I went to Fudruckers for the first time two weeks ago here in NC and in my opinion it's not as good as Chee Burger Chee Burger or Red Robin. It was okay but it wasn't all of that. So if they never get the Fudrucker built at the Landing then I say no big lose.

Fantastic!!! A discussion on burgers. Cheeburger Cheeburger is my favorite burger by far. But, I would put Fudruckers as my second favorite. 5 Guys and Red Robin are also very good. Do we have a Red Robin?

david have you tried Times Grill
now they do put a bit of cajun spice on the burgers but you can order them without it
oh did I mention Sweet Potato fries !!!!!

I have been seeing tons of commercials for Red Robin so that usually means one is coming

fastninja I am not big on "options" with my food now cars thats a different story
I do burger-cheese-bacon -bun thats it lol no lettuce tomatoes mayo etc.
lol I know boring but hey I don't need spicy food I am "spicy " enough
But hey I look at it this way it has to be a good burger since I don't have "options" to enhance the flavor

Now since we are discussing burgers (lol we are giving pizza a rest) I still visit Steak & Shake they do have great fries and shakes .

karla

I haven't tried 5 Guys but I keep hearing how good it is. Jax doesn't have a Red Robin yet.
