I rarely eat fried chicken, but have it on the brain today. Must be the weather- I want comfort food!

Where is the best in Jax? Especially Beauclerc/Mandarin area.

It's not exactly fried...but Boston Market's chicken is really good. There's one in Mandarin near Firestone, Hess, and the Jewish center in San Jose

The Boston Market in Mandarin is filthy. I went to Boston Market weekly when I lived in Tallahassee, but I had two medicore drive through meals at the Mandarin Boston Market and after dining in, I discovered why. I won't step foot in there again.

Ditto with the Wendy's and McDonald's in Mandarin. I've called the customer service number for the McDonald's twice (have never done that before) because of the filth and the way the assistant manger belittles the staff.

From now on I make it a point to actually go in to a place before it becomes a regular part of my routine.

Yeah, and Pollo Tropical....not sure if they are still around or not.

I ended up going to Lee's. Someone in my neighborhood raved about it. I'll give it a C+.
